Bisik Pada Langit- Review

So I went to watch Bisik Pada Langit recently. I can barely count how many times I went to cinema for Malay movies so this movie better be good. Decided to watch lepas all the good reviews I read in Facebook timeline. 

Well, what I can say is it was amazing. I love the movie to bits. Every scene was so lively and the emotion could penetrate deeply. I cried. Yes I cried. The actors were good, they played the characters well. The veterans duo Jalil Hamid and Fadilah Yusof did their part well. Same goes to Beto, Ummi and the young brother, I can't remember his name.

The movie is about family. How they struggle for a living and eventually something happened that test their patience. There were mix emotions that we can see along the movie. Siblings with different characters altogether. The eldest is cool type, follow orders from his dad. The second one, is spoiled but intelligent. The youngest, the most rebel but has a soft spot deep inside and gifted with skilled hands.

Most of the scenes will make you burst into tears like for me, during [spoiler alert] the phone call bila Jalil ajar Ummi mengucap. Oh mann.. that was unbearable. Other than that is masa Irwan and Jalil peluk. Demm I just can't. I like few quotes from the movie as well. Like bila Beto usrahkan ayah dia yang everyone is different and tak sama macam Hajar (Ummi). Ada yang pandai belajar, ada juga yang otak tak pandai tapi ada skill macam baiki barang, referring to the youngest. That is so on-point.

The plot was simple that I hope maybe it can be developed and di kembangkan more but then I think it's ok la sebab the emotion tu pun dah sampai. So it did justice anyway. Bayangkan kalau plot twist and berjela tapi emotion kosong, tak sampai. Hampeh jugak nanti. And I just knw that the movie was not meant for cinema but for Astro First viewing. So that explained the simple and straight to the point plot. I love it. I just love it. If I were to rate this movie, out of 10 I would give 9.5 !! 

Men's dilemma and whatnot

I read somewhere that men aged between 24-29 are having the most difficult part in life. Well, I have to agree with that. At this period of time, men are pressured to be something, to be someone. I am having the same dilemma. What should I become? 

At some points, you will realize if what you are doing now is something you really wanna do in your life. Life has lots to offer anyway and you just need to explore. 

Ambitions are to be chased not forgotten. When I was in school my ambition is to be a teacher. That is the only thing I could think of. But then I took a Business Information System course and when I was in university, I start to think what should I be? 

There was a time when I'm thinking to be a flight attendant. But I ditched all chances and decided to just follow the flow. 

Good thing of being me is I always see what's coming and think rationally. Well, let's hope this last long. Good luck to me. 

Knock Knock- Movie Review

There is this new movie showing in cinemas right now. The title is Knock Knock. No no.. bukan lagu Elizabeth Tan k. lol. Ok here is the short synopsis. Two lost girls happened to be in a foreign neighborhood where mostly nobody is around (can you believe that?). They were looking for their friend's house for some kind of party but the rain was so heavy so they were stranded and decided to stop at this house. The house belongs to a family; a couple with one young boy and daughter. The married guy (Keanu) was left alone at the house because he needs to complete his work whereas his family is out for a beach vacation planned sometimes back. The story starts when those two 'innocent' girls turned out to be wild and psycho. They tied, tortured him and did all those kind of gruesome stuffs a psycho would do. To be honest, there is nothing interesting about this movie. From the beginning to the end, it went flat. It is not a thriller movie as what it's supposed to be. Those two girls are more like spoiled kids and just being dramatic. I don't get Keanu role as well. He is so helpless in the movie. Come on la.. you are a young and sturdy guy, you can fight back or at least run or drive away and ask for help. Duhh. seriously it is a below than average movie. The ending is boring as well. I would strongly advise those who plan to watch this movie to think about it again and I dare to say you would thank me big times. You are welcome.

Future careers. I don't have any.

Semalam dan hari ni ada Career Placement Week kat UTP. Event tradisi di mana para final sem students sibuk drop resume and attend the interview held by the respective companies macam Proton, Schlumberger, Volkswagen, Dell, Baker Hughes, Shell and lain2.

Honestly, talking about careers, future plans, goals in life and bla bla, I am so far behind. I'm in vague and clueless. Tak tau nak jadi apa, means what position to hold and apply all that. During final sem, we should have already plan our career path, what we want to do and what we want to be.

Well, I myself have fallen into the course I'm not intrigued. That's explain much about this bleak future plan that I still need to work on. A degree in Business Information System. Ok. I still need time to get myself used to it. Such a crap. Padahal dah bear 4 and half years with it.

Actually, I do hope to be employed by PETRONAS. Tapi it seems so hard and way too impossible. Tengoklah, senior yang dah grad pun still tunggu placement. Ini kan we all yang tak grad lagi. Such a fuss. Ability test PETRONAS dah ambik, now kena tunggu result and kalau lepas baru dapat called for Structured Interview.

I don't put much hope to be called for the interview since the ability test was so hard. The hardest test I could recall. Kalau dapat interview pun kena filter lagi. Aigoo, it's so hard to get employed and work with PETRONAS.

So tadi I've spread my resumes to some companies yang I'm interested. You know, as a backup plan kalau kalau tak dapat PETRONAS. Shell macam best tapi procedure pun susah jugak macam PETRONAS. Proton pun macam best jugak. They said Proton is willing to pay PETRONAS to have the students they want to hire. How cool is that.

Tapi for sure lah, it must the best one, yang worth they paid for. I don't think I could stand a chance. CGPA pun cukup makan 3.50. Kalau ada rezeki tu, ada la kan. Just work hard, try your best and leave it to Allah. Harap-harap dapat kerja yang best and suits me well. That's all I can hope for. InsyaAllah.
